Website Project Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing to work with me.
These terms explain how I work and what you can expect from me.
They also protect both of us.
Website Project Terms and Conditions
(summarised — see full version underneath).
- Scope – I’ll write the text, provide stock photos, and recommend real ones. I build the site but you handle your own marketing.
- Payments – 50% upfront, 50% when the site is live + first round of changes. If you don’t pay within 21 days, I may restrict your site. After 30 days, I may take it offline.
- Ownership – You get full access only after final payment.
- Your Responsibilities – Send me content and feedback on time.
- Changes – Two rounds of changes are included. More = 10% extra per round.
- Bugs/Issues – Happy to fix any that slip through in the first 30 days.
- Cancellations – Payments are non-refundable.
- Duda Platform – Used unless agreed otherwise. Hosting fees are your cost to pay.
- Legal – These terms follow the laws of your state.
- Disputes – I believe most things can be solved by talking.
Let me know if you have any questions. I’m happy to help.

Website T’s & C’s – The Nitty-Gritty
1. Here's the Work to be Done (Scope of Work)
I’ll do the work we’ve agreed to in writing. That usually includes building your website and anything else we’ve discussed.
I’ll write the text and provide stock photos if needed. I highly recommend using real photos of your business and your staff (and clients/participants if appropriate). It’s your responsibility to provide those photos.
I don’t guarantee things I can’t control — like how many people visit your website or how many customers you get. I build the site, not run your marketing.
2. Payments
50% is due before I start (this holds your place in my schedule and is non-refundable).
50% is due once your site is live and your first round of change requests is sent through.
Final payment isn’t based on whether the site “brings you customers” or “performs” — it’s based on me finishing what we agreed to.
If you want changes after the two included rounds of feedback, those will be charged separately.
If payment is more than 21 days late, I may limit your site’s functionality down to the homepage and contact page until it’s paid.
If payment is still not made after 30 days, I may take the website offline until payment is received.
3. Ownership and Handover
You’ll own the site only after final payment is made. I won’t give admin-level access or launch the site until it’s paid in full.
4. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Send content (like photos and text) on time.
- Give feedback within 5 days of each stage.
- Reply to messages within 3 working days.
If I don’t hear from you for 30 days, I’ll assume the project is cancelled. You’ll still need to pay for the work done so far.
5. Revisions and Extra Work
You get 2 rounds of changes included. Extra rounds can be added for 10% of the total project cost per round.
If you change your mind about what you want after I’ve started, that may cost more too.
6. Bugs and Fixes
I’m happy to fix small bugs or errors within 30 days after launch — as long as they slipped through and weren’t already checked.
After 30 days, changes or fixes may be charged at my hourly rate.
7. Cancellations and Refunds
If you cancel after I’ve started, you’ll need to pay for what’s been done. The deposit isn’t refundable.
8. Platform, Hosting and Ongoing Support
Unless we’ve agreed otherwise, I’ll build your website on Duda.
I use Duda because it’s easy for people to manage long-term, which means you’ll need less ongoing support.
Duda’s hosting fees are similar to other platforms. You’ll either pay those directly or reimburse me if I pay them for you.
If you’d like ongoing support or regular maintenance, I’m happy to provide that. It’s a separate monthly fee.
9. Legal Stuff
I’m not responsible for things out of my control — like SEO results, traffic, unforeseen disasters or specific business results.
These terms follow the laws of your state.
10. Disputes
I believe that most problems can be solved with a good conversation.
If we can’t agree, mediation or legal options may be needed — but let’s always try to talk first.
Confirmation
By paying the deposit, you confirm your agreement to these very sensible “fair-go”-styled Terms and Conditions.
No physical signature is needed — payment of the deposit counts as your agreement to these terms.
