Growth & Profitability Coaching:
for your NDIS Business from Michael
Grow first. Then build the systems to keep up.
Michael’s Quirky Growth Framework For You
10.5 Steps to Unstoppable NDIS Growth
Note: This is fixing the car engine while we accelerate. It’s NOT for cautious bunnies. IT IS for directors who want faster, intelligent growth while things are still moving.
If you prefer to build slowly, test every bolt, and stay within comfort zones, this program isn’t for you.
This Is Founder-Focused
You are the best and the worst thing in your business.
Every great result, every major bottleneck, it all traces back to you. This framework works on you first, then through your business. Because when you shift your thinking, your impact multiplies.
Who This Is For (and Who It’s Not)
This program is not for CEOs.
CEOs can come and go like a teenage romance: temporary, inconsistent, and full of good intentions. This is for Directors, the people who take full responsibility for results.
You don’t outsource the outcome. You own it.
0. Ask yourself, “Am I Right for This?”
Before we start, you and I look closely at your business and mindset. If you’re not in a unique enough position, I’ll connect you with Paul or someone else. They’ll be right for 90% of leaders, and their programs are more structured and affordable. This one costs more than your standard group coaching.
That’s another reason why joining Paul’s program or something similar may make more sense for most people. But if you’re in the 10% who think differently, move faster, and want growth before polish, this is where you belong.
You must also be willing to invest 3 hours per week implementing the changes you choose. Every change happens because you decide it’s worth it, never because Michael says so.
And here’s the real test:
When someone points out a blind spot, do you get defensive or curious? That one question tells me if you’re actually coachable. If you’re defensive, we stop here. If you’re curious, we begin.
The Opening Challenge: Make a Bet with Yourself
Month 1 focuses only on Steps 1 and 2.
1. Find Your Unutilised Advantage
Every business has dormant potential, a hidden edge that’s waiting to be used. It might be a reputation that’s stronger than you realise, a relationship you haven’t leveraged, or a niche that competitors have ignored. I dig until we find that spark. That becomes the launchpad for growth.
2. Stare at Ourselves in the Mirror
This is the uncomfortable part, the honest audit. Where are we coasting? What habits have quietly become excuses? What parts of the business are still built around convenience, ego, or fear? We strip away the noise until there’s just clarity. Ownership replaces blame. Growth starts when the mirror talks back.
3. Prioritise Growth and Build the Plan
Outside perspectives spot what insiders can’t see. Growth isn’t about adding more work; it’s about multiplying what already works. We identify the levers that create exponential results: high-margin services, referral flow, pricing power, positioning, or new scalable offerings.
We also look deliberately at non-price-capped growth options, opportunities that escape the usual NDIS ceilings and reward innovation instead of hours logged.
Remember: what you measure, you can solve. You’ll set 3 self-defined KPIs that matter to you, not vanity metrics, but indicators that prove we’re moving the needle. Those KPIs become your compass for every decision and correction over the next 90 days.
4. Solve the Quirky Inefficiencies
As growth kicks in, the cracks show. Michael will help find and fix them. Unclear communication. Clunky admin. Overloaded inboxes. Slow decision chains. I don’t chase polish; I clear friction. Momentum matters more than neatness.
You’ll keep tracking your 3 self-set KPIs through this stage. Numbers that prove efficiency is actually improving, not just feeling better. We measure, adjust, and make progress visible so no one slips back into chaos disguised as busyness.
5. Celebrate Every Win That Saves $10K or Earns $10 K
Momentum builds when progress feels real. Every $10 K milestone, whether saved through efficiency or earned through growth, is visible and celebrated. Not because of the money, but because it proves the system is working. Celebration builds confidence and confidence accelerates results!
6. Solve the Team’s Effectiveness
Once growth and systems are moving, the people piece shows its true shape. Growth exposes issues, opportunities, and brokenness that were invisible before. Who’s thriving? Who’s tired? Where is communication failing, and where is potential going unused? We tackle the real stuff like role clarity, expectations, accountability, and trust.
Expect pushback from some team members which is normal. They either need extra support to transition, or they need a reality check about what we have if we don’t change. That honesty saves months of slow decline.
Then I help you build a plan to strengthen or realign the team around what matters most.
And we get your 7 external allies in place: people outside the business who help you think straight, challenge your assumptions, and stop the isolation that sinks directors. I’m 1 of those 7. Because isolated directors shipwreck businesses.
Your allies become the sounding board that keeps you steady when momentum tests you, a structure of truth-tellers who see what you can’t when you’re deep in the day-to-day.
7. Solve the Leaders’ Workflow and Responsibilities
Next, we fix the leadership rhythm decisively. We look at how leaders, especially you, spend their time. We solve the recurring problems that waste energy or create bottlenecks. We remove low-impact work completely and refocus that time into strategy, relationships, and decisions that actually move the business.
The goal is clear: reduce each leader’s week by 10 hours from where it started, without losing results. Then we go deeper, finding the neglected relationships and joys outside work and scheduling them deliberately.
Because here’s the truth: if your business is healthier but your life still sucks, let’s fix that. Growth should make life bigger, not busier.
8. Track, measure, improve 5 key things
We turn results into proof. I help you document wins, share stories, and use those visible outcomes to build credibility and referral momentum. Numbers are important, but so is the narrative.
And because this is NDIS, we also connect the dots back to participant outcomes: better consistency, higher satisfaction, stronger impact. Growth means the business works better for people, not just on paper.
9. Leader Steps Away (The Pressure Test)
Now comes the ultimate test of structure and trust. You take 1 full week off and you contact your team or clients zero or once per day. It’s not a holiday; it’s an experiment. This forced distance reveals every dependency, gap, and hidden strength in your business. When the leader steps back, truth steps forward.
10. Refine the Formula + Renew the Leader
When you return, we don’t just patch what broke. We analyse what held firm, what cracked, and what self-improved. You’ll identify the hidden resilience that grew while you were gone.
Then we pause for renewal and come back with loads more gratitude, acknowledging what worked without you and the people who carried it. That emotional reset brings back a bit of calm, trust, and clarity before the next round kicks off.
Finally, we refine the playbook using everything learned. Because quirky growth never sits still.
10.5 From Here, Every Step Is Unique
At this stage, formulas end and customisation begins. You’re a not-fit-the-mould business, and every next move will be unique, flexible, and context-driven. The framework adapts to you, your quirks, your rhythm, your goals. From here, we evolve it together.
